A few days ago my BBM stopped working. It opens just fine but sending a chat message just sits there with the clock and does not send. Does not receive either It does the same using blend. I used it on my old Z10 and it works fine. Tried to get is back on my ATT brand Passport but it doesn't give me the option to switch the device.

I loaded OS 10.3.2.2339 with Sachesi today and there is no change. Yes, I do have a network connection.

I want to reload BBM, but thus far searching the forum, I have not found a way to do it.

No, I do not. However it is on my Z10. Could that mean BB thinks the Z10 is my primary device?

You must have BlackBerry logo to have BlackBerry services, I guess something wrong happened when you updated using sachesi, use Autoloader to fix the issue

It was the same before. It might have happened when I did the ATT pushed 680 update with Link a couple weeks ago. I have the Z10 active on local carrier's sim (temporarily in Ireland) and it has my BB ID. I loaded 680 on both devices. I'll try and restore the backup before that first.

Try volume button reset twice in the row ( pressing the up and down volume buttons?) same time until the device off

Oops, too late, backup restore in progress. I was dubious about that 10.3.2.680 load anyway. Incidentally, I fired up my Torch ( I have all these berries laying around) and with wifi, it had the BB logo. Rules out my thought the Z10 was hogging the BB services.

I appreciate the help though. Will let you know.

No joy on the backup. Autoloader you say. Never tried that before, no time like present.

Made an auto-loader and used it. Refreshing to have a clean slate. However it did not fix my problem.

Turns out I only get BlackBerry Services when I have mobile roaming data selected. BBM works then. With wifi only and mobile data off, I loose BB services. Roaming and Wifi on, BB Services are active. Not right though, BB services should work with wifi only. Is it possible the wifi provider is blocking it?

    Same condition on the Z10.

So it does. I have an ATT sim using one of their international plans. Sounds like it is them jackin me on this. Blocking BB services somehow. I tried to register while on wifi and no sim. Didn't take. Its a recent problem. I used BBM last weekend. Now I'm debating whether I should chat with them about it, or pluck my nose hair. Can't decide which will be more painful and annoying.

BB Services works wifi only on the Z10 with mobile carrier "3" sim removed. Questioning if its AT&T's fault now.

Hmm, signed on to another wifi network and got BB services normally. I was having problems with the internet in the house recently and the provider sent me a new router 6 days ago. Thinking that router is the problem but don't understand why that would be.

Yes, should have mentioned. I've done that several times. When I have BlackBerry services active it gives me the 'registered for BlackBerry services ' confirmation. Back to wifi only, it dies. No response when trying to register.

This particular wifi router I'm using blocks it. I have other problems with the router and will be contacting the provider today.

This morning I woke up and my BlackBerry Services icon was on. Even works with wifi only. Both the Passport and Z10. Only thing I did was tell the ISP about the problem. Of course at the time they had little idea what I was talking about. Wonder if someone at the provider was familiar with it and switched something on in the router settings. Coincidence probably.

    Regardless, BBM is back!
