    I'm thinking the reason for the lesser amount of emoticons are do to BlackBerry being bias to the enterprise of things. For the most part people who have been using BlackBerry are mostly working and taking care of business. And it's more professional than say an average daily consumer with more time on their hands to play with emoticons.
