They never did say what they considered summer. Maybe 3 weeks or maybe they're waiting for summer to end on Uranus.

Summer in the northern hemisphere officially ends September 21, but in for the most part, people consider tomorrow the end of summer. This is another embarrassing failure. Not that it really matters, since cross platform BBM is likely to have very little adoption at this point.

Exactly. People don't even think anymore before they post. If the iPhone 5S is supposedly coming out on September 10th, why would they release it now? So that it gets lost in all of the Apple news? Wouldn't it be better to wait for the iPhone 5S dust to settle first?

Personally, I think they should wait even longer and make sure voice, video, screen sharing and Channels are all implemented from the start.

Don't be torqued at my jest, I just personally wish they weren't taking something that has been exclusive since it's inception and giving it to Android and iPhone.
