    10.2.1 here. During the update of BBM (in particular during the download phase) I have received the error: lost connection with server.

    Apparently however BBM was installed (BBW shows it as installed and I see the icon on my Q10). When I try to open the sofware it remains stuck on the BlackBerry 10 black screen and nothing happens.

    I cannot cancel it and reinstall it, I have already tried re-start, and reset without success.

    Do you have other ideas?

    I've been getting an error message since updating that has a HUGE RED EXCLAMATION POINT followed by a message that reads:
    "BBM has lost its connection. Please wait while the server attempts to reconnect"
    It has a spinning circle and NEVER advances beyond this point...
    Tried reloading the update but no change, HELP PLEASE fellow Crackberrians!

    Try holding down the power button for 35 seconds see if it works
    Mine did work

    If not then reload bbm.bar

    Are you guys on an leaked 10.2.1 OS? If yes make sure you are on 10.2.1.1925 because people with. 1055 or 1295 have this problem.

    Tried that and it didn't work. It rolled back my BBM version and got as far as 'setting up bbm' but the error message popped right back up.

    Judging by the reviews in App World, it appears the issue is more predominant amongst those of us with the leaked OS and not the official one.

    That would explain it! I never updated to the leaked 10.2.1.1925 from 1295 because I erroneously assumed that AT&T would have sent out the official upgrade by now... Every time I use a leak, I have to much of a hassle with proper restoration of my contacts so I just decided to wait. STUPID ME, LOL

    Just go ahead and upgrade. I'm on the leaked 10.2.1.1925 and works great

    Yep having the same issue, also on AT&T in the US and using the 1055 leak. Really wish AT&T would get on board with these OS updates...guess it is time to spend the day updating my OS because I have WAY too many friends in BBM. Thanks BlackBerry...

    I have .1925 on my Z10 and the wife has .1295 on hers. I updated my BBM with no issues, but hers locked up with the same issues described here. I tried sideloading different sys.bbm bars and deleting/reinstalling with no luck. Later tonight, I will install .1925 on her phone since I am tired of waiting on T-Mobile to push the new version.

    Same problem with leaked version 10.2.1.1259. Much hassle with a Mac to try and reload the newer version of this. Will wait til the 12th of never for Sprint to come out with the official OS update….

    Im on a Z30 Big red, Leak 10.2.1.1295 same issue. Hope to jump to the new leak. I heard alot of problems with that leak on the Z30! Is it true, someone please help us all out. Thanks in advance!!
