So instant preview for bbm on my wife's Z30 (verizon official OS) just doesn't seem to work. I started looking around in settings and does anyone else think that there seems to be too many places where instant preview for bbm can be adjusted? It just seems like there is alot of redundancy.

Those are from my Z10.
My instant previews are working for bbm on my Z10 and as far as I can tell we have the same settings. Her Z30 does receive instant previews for texts and emails by the way. I've also done soft and hard resets and turned off and on the instant preview too.

Anyone with ideas?

You pretty much covered all bases... Next would be make sure she has the most up to date BBM and OS versions.

Mine have never worked, since Instant Previews launched. Initially I thought it was because I was using a leaked OS, but it's followed me from a Z10 to my Q10, Q5, and now my Classic.

Thing with the Classic is I've not loaded anything strange: I'm using the out of the box OS, and apart from updating BBM in BlackBerry World...

Didn't even restore a backup on this phone. Literally just set it up as a new device, logged into my accounts, and the problem has followed me.

I have the same issue. I downloaded the latest official OS 10.3.1.1581 on my Z30 STA 100-5 via BlackBerry Link. I've turned on the option in every menu possible. Does anyone have any suggestions? All are appreciated

Ahhh im also having this issue. If someone PING's me the instant preview shows up but when I receive a general message no instant preview. All others work except bbm. Whyyyyyy????

I'm guessing you're using the latest version and it has "Apply Profile Settings for BBM Instant Previews" on? If it is on, whatever you set in your Settings should take place. If you turn that off, then you have to select which contacts you want Instant Previews to appear for

Hi u2Hertz. I seem to have found a fix for this! So I got an invite from a new contact and I noticed that when they sent me bbm messages the instant preview showed up! But when all old contacts sent messages still no preview. So I tried deleting and reinviting a couple of contacts and as luck would have it the instant previews starting showing up for those contacts. About to go do it to my entire bbm list. Hope it works for u
