    I went to settings selected dark theme I can read and it says to reset BBM how do you do that? Hit back arrows or just "X" out I have done both.

    What OS version are you one? (Hint: type myver and then space to show it)
    Normally you just select the dark theme, x out of the BBM app, restart it and voila, dark theme BBM

    Yes, sometimes you have to fully close the app by long-pressing on the X. The Contacts app is sometimes picky this way too.
