When the new update came out, it brought many new smilies, and with it came the need to swipe up or down to scroll through them. The problem I have is with the gestures in this particular part of BBM. When I swipe up or down to find the one I want, if I swipe at an even slight angle to the left, it swipes me out of bbm into the active frames. I am not swiping from the edge but rather from the centre of the screen and it still happens. I might switch to an older BBM till this stops happening.

You have to swipe with a flat finger on the screen. Don't do it at an angle.

I'm not trying to do it on an angle. Even a milometer off from being a perfectly straight swipe will do it. My hand eye coordination isn't good enough to do that unfortunately. Swiping a perfectly straight swipe is not something I should have to do to avoid swiping out of a program. That's what swiping up from the bottom of screen is for. Seems redundant to me.

Instead of swiping, just drag the screen instead. So it slowly to drag through the list of emoticons.
