    I have heard a rumour that BBM uses up much more data on non BlackBerry phones. Can anyone confirm this?

    Why would you assume it does? I'm sure it uses more than on BBOS devices, since they have BIS data compression, but BB10 phones are data hogs just like any other. Sorry to tell ya.
