    Hi guys,

Is there a way to close a bbm message so it isn't marked as read?

I have a pain in the **** individual who I just don't want to talk to at the moment but don't want to delete the contact.

    I should be more specific.

    I haven't opened the message.

I just see the first few words.

Will pressing the bottom right menu and selecting End All Chats still send a READ notification to the sender of the unopened message?

    Cheers

Nope, they won't get the R. You're able to preview the message (as by seeing the first few words) but if you end the chat they don't get the R notification.

As long as you don't tap the message itself in the chat, there won't be a Read notification.

Correct. When you receive a new BBM there will be a yellow dot in from in the message. As long as that dot is yellow it will not tell the other person you read it. If you tap the message the dot will turn gray at that point the sender will get an "R"

Then turn off the screen and wait for the 30 minute timeout where it goes back to the root of the HUB
