My wife has some alcatel with 4.0 android on it. While BBM chat works fine, we were never able to make voice call, since call always drops before connecting. I tried every connection combo(wifi, or mobile network).
Viber to Viber works normal.
Thoughts?

I use BBM voice chat BlackBerry-to Android all the time. I've also used it BlackBerry-to-iOS with excellent quality. You might want to make sure you are both using the latest BBM -- I recently had terrible call quality a friend in India, but it was fine once he updated his Android.

Agree completely - we ended up using BBM Voice when in Italy at the beginning of the year between my BlackBerry and multiple iOS & Android (because WhatsApp Voice call quality was so bad) and one of the iPhones had problems until we updated the BBM App on it (that had originally been installed months before)
