Fixed now. Got that message from accessing BBM from Hub. Needed to open the actual app to get it to work again. Hub works as well again

    was it user error?

I haven't seen any issues today, and have never seen that error message before, but perhaps I have been lucky.

Not user error. I have never seen it either. Seemed like there was some "setup" that I had to accept in the actual app before the Hub BBM would work. Not sure why setup needed something. I haven't changed or updated BBM at all.

All good and seems to be working fine again now.

Experienced this last week for a few hours. Resolved itself. Was a bit annoying though.

Did you try opening up the "actual" app (not the HUB). I had to click a pop up in the app to make it work again

Did you wipe your Passport? BlackBerry ID might be hanging on to both phones?

Maybe contact BlackBerry Help through Twitter or email? Have you searched the BlackBerry Knowledge Base?

I spent over 2 hours on the phone with BB tech support. No resolution. The problem was clearly a matter of BBM not allowing my bbid to login on my existing device. If I wiped my phone and logged in using a different bbid, BBM worked. Wipe and use my bbid and I got the temporary server issue error. My bbid worked for everything other than BBM. Upgrading to 10.3.3 didn't help either. Wish I had a spare bb10 device to see if I could isolate it to really being a problem with my ID and BBM.

I just changed my bbid and moved on. Lost all my purchased apps too. Major PITA.

same problem since the latest update. I did a soft and hard reset ( wiped completely). Still comes up with server error. BB and TMOBILE support cant figure it out. They keep pushing me to tap on settings while on the error screen but there is no settings option on that screen.

I turned off my network. Tried connecting to the bbm server. Didn't work. Turned on the network then it worked. It took me a few tries.

I was trying and trying, but I wasn't lucky as you. I was even turned on airplane mode and restart the phone and nothing. I will try again later.

I just got an email from BB tech support saying that my bbid was part of some database corruption issue that affected BBM. BB had applied a hot fix to BBM and I was advised to try again.

Try again and see if the problem is fixed for you. The way the response I got was worded it sounds like if you're on Android or iOS, you should delete the app and reinstall then log in.

For BB10, I'll be doing a wipe and seeing if this works. I'll be pleasantly surprised to see that it works for BB10 given where the focus is nowadays.
