I really wish BBM would intagrate PTT. It would be extremely useful to many of us.

I personally hate PTT and always shrunk it out of my OS before installing on all my other VZW phones. You have BBM voice. Isnt that the same?

Not for me it is not. The delay of having to make a call for a quick conversation is my primary issue.

Nextel's were the s*it back in the day, especially for us field techs out there...
And construction worker type of jobs.

BBM Voice is 1 button push on the top right corner of the, how much simpler can you get. PTT is a non duplex way of communicating. Why would you want your phone to act like a 2way radio. Unless you miss the Nextel days.

I agree with Philip, although I wouldn't use PTT much I think it's essential.

There are a lot of us out there who have a need for PTT. It's just another reason for people to use bbm. If you don't want it you should be able to disable it. What's the problem with that?

Just make voice notes one press to play and that would be basically PTT

I wish PTT was a baked in feature. Trying to find a alternative to upgrading our analog Walkie-Talkies. BBM with push-to-talk would have me sold instantly. BB10 devices would not even need Cell phone provider. Could run these on WiFi. What business doesn't have WiFi. You can build a very large WiFi network for not a lot of money. I would only need 1 in 20 phones to have a cell network when out in the field. One set of devices to maintain. Not 2

If voice notes were easier to play it would essentially be ptt auto play option of some sort is what's needed. Seems like it would be fairly easy to implement.
