I hear my BBM notification ringtone. I look at my z30 and the blue light I have set for BBM notifications is flashing. I enter my password. I see a red star showing me there is a message in BBM. I open BBM and I have NO new messages from my contacts. Very tired of this. I suspect it might be a notification for a 'feed'. I don't want that if it is the case. I only started having this problem a couple months ago. Any ideas? I only want notifications from my contacts. I don't open invitations or have any from scammers. If it's a bug with BBM why is it just starting three years after using my phone? Thanks.

Check to see if you have an "invitation" from some spammer or scammer.

Lately, there has been a surge of these invitations on BBM everywhere.

I've received 2 in the last few days and my wife received 1 a couple of days ago. Others on CB have reported the same thing.

I never open from strangers or accept invitations. I do see the BBM channel seems to send me alerts...I don't know how to turn this off
It's the only thing I can think of. I was curiously browsing which I now regret. Does anyone know how to turn off this feature?

Where in BB and why did it start three years after using my phone. I haven't seen anyone else online complain about this. I find it annoying to open it up and no message from my contacts. Want to rip the phone to shreds.
