I don't believe there is anyway to do that. I have seen apps to lock individual files and folders but never an app. Hopefully someone has a better idea for you.

Just found a workaround! One can simply disconnect BBM from the Hub. To read you need to find the BBM icon app.

In settings > security and privacy > parental controls you can turn off features, but I don't know if you can retrieve your received messages while the bbm feature is off
