About 2 months ago my wife upgraded from the z10 to the z30. Everything was fine until about a week ago. My wife no longer appeared as a Bbm contact on my phone. I sent her a new invite, but when she tried to accept the invite she got a message saying her email address (bbm id) was associated with another device and would you like to import the account to this device. After choosing yes and importing the account info, her bbm profile displayed another persons pic and message. The pic belonged to our neighbour, who she gave the z10 to. We used BlackBerry link to transfer all info to her new phone and did a reset on her old phone. Any idea as to why this happened?

Your neighbor got the Z10 with your wife's BBID on it for sure. Did you do a security wipe?

Did a factory reset. Will check the phone with the neighbour and maybe do a security swipe.

Security wipe will initiate the setup process, which asks you to login with a BBID. Not sure about the factory reset, but it apparently resets all settings and leaves the data untouched.
