    Yesterday a rumor was started that the 12th would bring the release of BBM on iOS and Android. That rumor was debunked by Kris during the hangout yesterday, who revealed what it was that would be happening on the 12th.

    There is no confirmed release date and the best thing the OP can do is what I said in my first reply; sign up to be notified when it is available.
