Is it possible to send animated gifs on my z10 to a q10 as they are only receiving static pictures?

Yes, that is possible. I have received several animated gifs from BBM contacts before. I'm on a Z10.

Thanks. I wonder what we are doing wrong then as I send it they just receive a much smaller file that doesn't move.

I cannot send gif. Sent but received as static pic. Im using z10. How do u do that? Or is it because I sent it to ancient BlackBerry that cause it to be compress?

I have found out how to do it.

Once you send the gif the other person on a bb10 device has to hold down on the picture and select HQ from the menu on the right, this requests a high quality version. Once done I get a request to either allow or deny them this high quality version, if I allow it it sends the working gif that when the other person clicks on animates.
