R-Type was one of my favorite games back in the days and this looks better in terms of graphics. I just want to know if "Score Loop" or a "Leader Board" is going to be included also.

Yes, I love this game too! On PlayBook I've already finished Insane Mode.

Seems just as good so far on Z10.

To other poster: no Score loop or leaderboards at this time.

Alpha Zero looks similar for $2.99. Anyone tried both?

You went through all 180 regular levels on Z10? Nice.
I finished on PlayBook and I'm at only like Sector 26 on Z10.

Does everyone else's Z10 heat up like mad while playing this?

Yeah. All 180 on my Z10.
It got a little warm but didn't catch fire; a serious gaming session on my Galaxy Nexus makes that hard to hold after 10 minutes - was surprised how cool my Z10 was.

Since I got my Z10, Sector Strike has been consistently near the top of Top Free Games in BlackBerry World.
It's also often in Top Trending, a section on home page of BB World for BB10.

The main difference is sector strike you only control your ship. While in alpha zero you can use 2 other gingers to aim where you are shooting. Alpha zero also had a lot of voice overs in between missions.

The controls make them feel very different. Sector strike feels like an retro game like gradius, while alpha zero feels like it's built for multi touch.
