I really don't think anything will come of this until Verizon makes the leap to LTE. Its kinda fun though speculating with the group. I would be shocked if Steveo made the big announcement when he comes back.

I thought this was interesting it looks like a bunch of senators are asking to FCC to take a look at Carrier-Phone exclusivities to see if it restricts consumer choice. This doesn't necessarily impact Verizon and the iPhone though because even if the FCC ruled that the iPhone couldn't be exclusive it wouldn't mean that Apple would have to make a CDMA version. Although this possible could be an easy way out of their contract with AT&T. Just a few thoughts.

Why people continue to believe anything and everything these newbies say is mind boggling to say the least.
ER, Its funny that you feel so vehemently about this; have you never believed something? Or is everything you hear a lie?
The answer isnt important. What is important is that none of us get to dictate what others should/not believe.

And as this thread and others like it have shown is that their are many people who want to believe because having the iPhone come to the big V is something that want.

I dont believe it'll be the iPhone as I've said MANY times on this site..

It will be a iPhone LITE, or LIKE, or something similiar.. but 'iPhone' it will not be.

They could put a CDMA/LTE radio inside the iPod Touch and call it something else and THAT could be whats coming to Verizon..

Most of us don't expect the Iphone for Verizon until next year so i don't know what you're talking about. What many of us are hoping for is the announcement this year. I remember last year there was a rumor that it would be announced at Macworld this year and nothing happened, then WDDC and nothing happened. Regardless, Verizon and Apple are talking and they wouldn't keep talking if both sides didn't think they could reach an agreement for next year.

If it's any help, I was told by a mod from another site (one of our sibling sites) that Mr. OnTheLowLow was banned for BS on their site.

Heard this a couple days after he posted it.

This topic is definitely closed. Let it go on too long.
