Edit: I must say I'm a little wary about that large glass lens for the camera...it seems like it could be prone to breaking if it's not sturdy enough.

The problem is they are trying to market this as being the ultimate consumer blackberry, and yet as far as screens go (which IMO is the main reason for going with a touch phone) Bold < Storm < Javelin. The Javelin screen is going to be sharper than the Storms, due to being smaller at the same resolution. 480x360 will probably work fine, however it's not their "best" screen based on ppi.

And considering they had a little extra height, I don't understand why there is no tabbed browsing. I understand it can be fixed, but with the extra resolution over the iPhone, you'd think it'd be MORE likely to have tabs.

i know it's not likely to ever happen, but wouldnt it be nice if there was roaming agreements between VZW, T-Mo and ATT ? that would make this device more awesome... but yeah its not gonna happen

i do feel more confident about 3rd party application access to at least standalone GPS, if not aGPS... and if aGPS isnt available to 3rd party, it does look like it will at least be available to BB maps.

Well damn, I just signed up here after getting a 9000 Bold from the UK... Now I gusess I gota get this on November 1st and sell this 9000, lol. Very great to hear this BB will be so usefull on many points.

And btw CX, like someone else already said, I don't think people were ******** (for the most part). Some people might have been hoping for something given certain flaws in current phones. As far as screen res, I think the iphone's looks good. So this will not bother me but I, as well as other, were hoping for something more. Will it kill my experience with the phone? No. Will it make me not buy the phone? No. But it isn't wrong to hope for a little more. You're right though, there will never be the perfect phone no matter what the specs are. Everyone will always want more. But hey that's what keeps newer and better devices coming.
