How come my system shows I am running .75?? I followed all of the steps to make sure I downloaded the Bell .76 -- Then I deleted the vendor.xml, but now in my about I am showing v4.7.0.75.

This is odd.

I did a full wipe and installed this version and I am in heaven. Highly recommended if you feel you have a laggy Storm.

I followed all of the instructions for the .76 install and it did successfully install the OS on my storm, but now I have seemed to lose my ring tone sounds. I mean the ring tones are still there, but when someone calls me it won't ring. During the install I had backed up my 3rd party apps and did an auto backup for my data and preferences which I reloaded after the install so what could be the problem? I know my phone's not on just vibrate so what could've happened to the sound? Oh and my music files won't play anymore in my media player either. Thanks

I did something boneheaded earlier today. I had my phone sitting in the charging pod connected to the USB to my computer. I had an incoming phone call and it didn't ring either. I finally realized it didn't ring because my ringtones on the memory card won't work when plugged into the USB. Do you think thats what happened with you also?

upgraded from .75 to .76 about 8 hours ago and after an initial battery pull it doesn't seem much/any faster. i think i had one of the faster storms to begin with. oh well, i'm just glad to be keeping up at first i wasn't going to, but my nature is to always have the latest (but not always greatest....)

anyone go from OTA .75 to .76?

I am wondering if OTA .75 is not as good as regular .75.

just as wiping and installing is not as good as not wiping.

I used the direct loader.exe file from a path in Program\common file\RIM\loader.exe and it loader perfectly on both my Storms. Had opportunity to see .76 and compare it to .75 and see additional improvement....not huge but some. I am still looking for a few more key improvements in touch screen/tracking, bluetooth with speed dialing, the screen not disappearing/backlighting longer than 2 min. type personal wish list issues ....but Decembers not over and maybe Santa will bring us another release.....thank-you for getting .76 out and sharing it with us as you did. It is sincerely appreciated. It was GOOD of you to do so.

i did a full wipe with jl_cmder then installed .076.

works outstanding now...the first time i had .076 i had only done the phones internal wipe and it worked like junk.

So I followd teh instructions and DM tells me after I select the ,76 OS that "NO software update is required on my device."

I wiped the device as but not using JL, just through phone options.

Any help/advice would be appreciated!
