Default FileLock that Porn away for good!

First i have to say i've pinched this from Detman101 who, with his help, solved the issue of unwanted files appearing in the Mediaplayer video list. Cheers fella!

However i thought i'd upadate it for the Storm boards as i know theres a fair few of us wanting to do this. Also this is really for video files only as you can lock your pics away within the Storms OS.

The first thing you'll need is the filelock.jar which you can download HERE!. You'll need to register first though chaps, just your name/email/phone number or at least i did. Now you can download to either the phone or pc & both have worked for me. If you download to pc you'll need to connect your Storm to you pc & copy the file over to the Storms memory. Once you've downloaded it click on the .jar file & it'll go through the usual download/install process as with all apps.

Then when you've done that you'll find the file in your Download folder on your homepage unless you've moved it. Click on the small pink key & set up your program password. Now all you have to do is browse through your folders & lock the one with all your movies in . You have to perform a "yes" to The application FileLock has attempted to open local content. Would you like to allow this? to EACH individual file open/lock in a folder but you can just unlock (same process) individual files after that. There is a way to stop this via permissions but i haven't got it to work?

The end result is all unwanted files are no longer in the media player list of content, so the wife/kids will never know

Cool

42 Looks and not a single Thank You? LOL, I'm sure somebody could use this info. I'll be sure to pass this along to some people that have suffered this embarassment.

Thanks

I prefer just to hide. No one ever goes through the effort to unhide them. And if the person even knows how I jush don't let them use my phone.

And if you don't want your kids to see something, then you have no business having it yourself, IMO. Just my .02.

So how does one lock pics within the storm OS? Are they only hidden or are they actually password locked?

If I had a wife and we liked porn.. why on earth would I not be aloud to have it if I didn't want my kids to see it?

There is plenty of things that you don't let your kid see that your aloud to. For example rated R movies..

adults watch them all the time and don't let there kids watch them..

so your statement is skewed..

As I said, in my original reply. this is "my opinion" (that's what IMO means in case you missed it or you didn't know). If it's not yours, then great--it's one of things that makes us different. And personally, if it means not subscribing to your belief structure, then I prefer to be "skewed".

One, my wife watches porn with and without me. This is just my personal thing when I'm away or in the spare room. I snore apparently.

Two, lighten up its only an app to help peeps out not a reason to discuss moral do's or don'ts of porn.

Three, no I believe you can only hide pics in the OS. Call it a typo on my part

Four, to the one guy who said thanks. Your welcome, as are you all

Five, you can't use the OS to hide video files. That's why I spent so long looking for an answer. All I've found so far is this!
