Did your battery used to last all day, and now it sucks? Here are my ideas...
First do this:

The solutions to this are to make sure you're on the latest OS update for your phone, but most importantly that you're on the
latest PRL for the network you're on. For Verizon, dial *22899 and wait for the provision update to complete. If you dial
#HELP* Send before and after and look at the PRL version you'll be able to see if the version number changed. The PRL is what
drives the phone radio's ability to connect to the cell towers for service and it's something that changes almost on a monthly
basis. Keep it up to date.
Even if your not having 1EVX vs 1evx issues, you could be having trouble with changes going on regarding cell towers. Your phone signal searching will absolutely drain your battery. Updating the PRL as Civic suggested will either fix that or remove it as a possible problem.
Also, if you go to options>mobile network, do you have 1EVX selected as opposed to Global (Global is BAD).
If those don't help, then you could have some corrupted database issues that are screwing things up. The resolution to that is not fun, but I would do it for my Storm before I gave up (

Finally, you could just have a battery that is prematurely dying. I don't know how rich or poor you are, but if you can afford it ($20 or $30), order another battery today (I recommend an actual OEM battery...not some cheap knock-off). Having a spare never hurts.
