Default price above is incorrect...

Looks like the price is $1299 on the site.

Here's the link:

Better than 1500 but still expensive though. That's about the price for being on the bleeding edge. Plus all the bragging rights about it being a "pre-release" model since it's not officially released in this country...

I wonder if they'll get their pins locked by RIM. Kevin has a pre release unit and his pin is locked.

Default Rogers

They're just selling unlocked Roger's Blackberry Bolds so they should actually work without a hitch. I'm taking the plunge and ordering one of them (I already have a Rogers Bold) as a backup Blackberry. Will report about the service asap.

Thanks

That price is criminally high. It should be illegal to sell things that high when the actual manufacturing cost is about 10% that.

pard me for the n00b question, but what happens when your PIN is locked?

I understand everyphone has its own unique pin, then does blackberry recognize a bolds being used early or something and then lock your phone? disable its service? or what....

also, what else is your PIN used for?

If this will be the price, my heart is broken, I'll wait a while to get my Bold.

The only pins that they'll possibly block are the pre-release units. These are all Rogers phones that have been unlocked.

In the UK, generic unlocked Bold's are being sold for £360 by the major cellphone stores.
