Default Blackberry Security

My fiance recently lost her iPhone, before this happened I made sure that everything was protected by enabling the passcode feature where in order to unlock the phone for use you have to enter a 4-digit passcode, fail that 10 times and the phone is wiped.

So that made me think I have nothing like that on my BB, if I lose it and someone gets a hold of it before the battery runs out they have all my data...is there any solution for this?

Thanks!

EDIT:

Or there is the chance that Im a complete moron and didn't think that 'password' in options would be exactly what I was looking for ...whoops

There's a feature like that on BB. Go to Options>Password. Set to "Enabled" and there you go.

It's just surprising the amount of people that use their devices as the single point of access to so many personal services yet don't protect it.

Hi, just recently my phone has a Passcode. I woke up one morning and there was something that said confirm. So I did it. Then it told me to enter a passcode. Well, now I tried to remove the Passcode and when I go to Passcode in my phone it wont let me get rid of it. It's grayed out. All it will let me do is change how long it requires a passcode. Goes to 1 hr.
There a patch for this?

Sounds like a BES policy. If you're on BES, they will require a password to protect their sensitive data.
