I think they should. I've had a few close calls while driving.

They already have those laws. I am more concerned with the fact they put a stop light on my freeway. Wtf? That's what we should use our bb for, to stop these lights!!!!

Usually its user stupidty, rather than just the phone use that causes the accident. Try as they might, you can't legislate against stupidity!

Default Ha!

I think the government has far more important things to worry about right now. However, I do think people of all ages should be careful when driving and talking/texting/etc. Personally, I only talk while driving. But I don't think it's the government's job to legislate this.

keep the govenment out of my life. I use a bluetooth already when I need to talk & drive. If they don't want people using there BB's in the car then get ban radios, nav systems, cup holders, kids, wifes... ok maybe I just went to far on the last two.

I use my Bluetooth while I'm driving, so it's strictly for calls only.

Yes the government should pass regulations in regards to cell phones. The NY Times, just had two feature articles about this (especially with teens). Texting and talking are major distractions. A headset should be mandatory if the cellphone is a must. I know, its hard to resist the BB but it's necessary to keep things safe!

Default gov't...

I would not be opposed to the mandatory requirement of car kits/ headsets for mobile phone users in vehicles.

I have mixed feelings on this. Hads free should me mandatory but outright ban is rediculous.

I use a hands free set. If I am in a situation where that could be too distracting I hang up and call back latter. I would rather be safe than sorry.
