I have a 8110 bb for at&t can i use the t-mobile software on the phone i no longer have at&T

What software are you talking about? A OS update?

yeah i wanted to run t-mobile software on it. I now have t-mobile service

Yeah you should be able to, if its an OS update make sure to delete the vendor id.

okay i downloaded the t-mobile software installed it deleted the vender file. I start desktop manager and connect the att 8110 and it will not update just connects to the computer how can i get the tmobile os to work on this phone

Ok first is the phone unlocked?

Secondly, make sure before you install the OS you go to C:/program files/common files/research in motion/apploader and delete the vendor file. That should do it

But if I'm right the phone must be unlocked firstcuz if not you can't use the phone with T-mobiles sim card

i tried but it always installs the att firmware and i do not have it downloaded anywhere on my computer

That's because it is an at&t phone. Your best bet is to get a tmobile bb. Other wise its just a big PITA..
