Default Payments taken by VZW Reps

Just to let you all know that effective 7/1/2009, VZW rep are no longer allowed to take payments over the phone unless you sign up auto bill pay.

There are several options to make payments.

1. #pmt
2. sign up for auto bill pay
3. pay through your online account
4. use the recording though the 800 number.
5. go to www.vzw.com/paymybill

People call 611 and have a rep take a payment. What a waist of time, both the reps and the customer.

Sounds like a good way to reduce credit/debit card fraud by those dirty, rotten reps.

Because they mistakenly think it is safer to give a card number to a human than to an online or automated system.

Ignorance causes many oddities and a large portion of the population is ignorant.

I love it when people go "I hate the automated system because I was just trying to pay my past due and it took the whole payment and you guys wouldn't refund me the part I didn't wanna pay."

Well no, that's not really what happened. You pressed the wrong button, and it even confirmed it and you pressed confirm. You want us to waste money and refund money to you that was a valid bill? Just so in two weeks you can cost us money by using VISA or MasterCard to pay it again?

No thanks.
