Default diff. between Everything Data vs. Everything Data direct connect

what is the difference between the plans w and w/o direct connect? the price seems to be the same.

One is for family without the push to talk ability the other is designed for the nextel direct connect users

ok thanks.so i should be fine without direct connect, right? i never had it with vzw and don't plan to.

Unless you have the 8350i or 7100i then you can't have direct connect. Its a nextel only branded service. While Sprint/Nextel is the same company, their phones employ different technologies.

the direct connect is the original nextel push to talk..sprint added it on their regular CDMA network some years ago and then this was followed by VZ a little later.
I have had this feature for about 4-5years and never used it.. you wll be fine!..and anyway it takes away your convenience key!..lol
