why not add international calling for the few days your gone then cancel when you return? ATT charges 5 dollars a month plus the usage(it's expensive per minute) I go to the Bahamas on business fairly often and the contractor I am working with advised me to turn the phone off unless i am using it because you pay for everything that comes your way.Text, e-mail,calls you answer and calls you don't. This solution works for me but hey there might be others

You need to add international email plan to use your blackberry overseas.

If you have WiFi on your BB with Tmobile, then you can call using the UMA connection without adding or changing anything with your plan. All you need is access to a wireless network and your phone will literally work as it does in the states using the UMA connection-this includes email and all other data usage. Just turn off the mobile network connection so it doesn't try to jump onto a foreign network. I was overseas all last spring and summer and would log onto the hotels wifi and call anyone at home just like I was in the states- completely free with the hotspot at home service. Only drawback is that you have to obviously be in range of the wifi signal for the phone to work.

Can vouch for the above - I use it all the time when out of the country - just be sure to set the connection preference to wifi only (while keeping the data services on) otherwise you will be hit with charges as it tries to connect...

You need the WIFI feature for sure.
You really don't want to pay the fees for data usage while overseas..
It will cost ALOT.
Thankfully when my wife went to Europe she had her Razar then. When she went to the Bahama's it was $2.99 a min - OUCH

I have the $20 unlimited international add-on and I've never paid a dime more for data usage in the months I've spent abroad.

I'm leaving in a couple of days to go to Rome. can someone give me specific directions on how to set up my 8320? where are these settings I need to change?
I'll call tmo and set up the international email plan, but I"m not sure what I need to do on my phone.

thanks!
