Default Flip or 8900? need help

Hey guys... new here. dont have much time but here goes- i just returned my iphone, thought it was going to be the best, went in blind, and...

it was the worst 5 months of my life.

i liked my generic RZR better than this. seriously, apple needs to get to work on this thing.

Anyway, after looking at t-mobile, it seems that it best fits my needs. cheap plans, reasonable service in my area, and phones that fit me.

I came across the blackberry flip, which i actually find quite nice looking and it seems it will fit me well, i dont mind the suretype keyboard and just the fact that its a blackberry, i can count on it, and it will do everything i need in style.

But then, the 8900 was released. the thing is probably one of the nicest looking phones ive ever seen, if not the nicest.

what im getting at is, should i wait and spend the little extra money on the 8900, or get the pearl flip. which one will function better for me?

And can someone tell me how browsing is with opera on either device? i really like the idea of using the mini-trackball. everything about blackberrys is appealing to me

anyway, thanks in advance, crackberry community.

It all depends on what you need or like. The 8900 has a full QWERTY keyboard, which is a must if you are constantly texting or sending emails. The Pearl flip doesn't have mush of an advantage over any aspect of the 8900, except for maybe size. So basically what I'm saying is to get the 8900. End of story. And Opera is decent but I always end up going back to the BB Browser. Opera seems slower to me, but it may be because it is caching all the sites for the first time, so I may not be a good source.

Either way, it's a Blackberry. And welcome to Crackberry!

There is not really even a comparison between the pearl flip and the 8900. Check out several comparison threads, they are all over the forums.

Have you seen the 8220 in person? It looks alright in pictures but when you actually see one its pretty hideous (IMO).

I say wait the 36 hrs for the 8900 to be for sale in stores.

I say go to the store and see how the flip feels top u, then see how the 8320 feels to u and make ur decision based on that. The 8900 is a tad bit slimer then the 8320 w/ a better smoother running os.

I recommend you get the 8900. It is better for typing, emails and browsing. Plus this phone looks very good in person and the screen def is very nice. Get the 8900!

I've gone from 8700 to 8320 to 8900. I'm pretty partial to a keyboard vs. suretype. The Pearl is still a great phone. Its your call.
