Default Advice for new line and no replacement phone in stock

I purchased the 8900 Curve on 2/11 and ported my number from Sprint. The phone didn't get signal for 24 hours and T-Mobile confirmed that the porting went through but the phone just wasn't getting signal.

I took the 8900 Curve back to the store on 2/12 to get it exchanged but they had sold out. They sold me a 8320 Curve to have in the meantime, until they had more in stock. I requested for them to put a note on my account to start my 14 day buyer's remorse period the day I get the replacement 8900. I later checked with phone customer service and they confirmed that this was on the account. The store told me to call them in a few days to see if they received the 8900.

Now, it's been 9 days since I opened this new line, and I technically have 5 days before it's been 14 days. I've been calling 5 to 10 stores daily to see if they got a new shipment of the phone and I always get negative reponses.

What should I do? The most important thing to me right now is to not lose my ported number.

Should I port my number to a non-contract carrier, like Cricket, until they have the 8900 in stock at stores, or should I risk waiting past my 14 day remorse period and hoping they will honor the notes? Any alternatives to get the phone?

Sorry for the long post. Thanks!

Wait it out through the weekend, I say. The store closest to me just got 15-20 8900s in, so I expect other stores will too.

TM customer service is very good about these things. Just call them at 611 and explain the delay was not your fault. They might even throw in some free service next month to make you happy.

good luck

That really sucks< I hope that CS is able to clear things up, give then a call and see what they say, who knows you might get free mins or something else they like keeping their customers happy. They where not rated #1 in CS for nothing ya know. Good luck and let us know what happens, hope your Curve gets here soon.
