Yahoo Messenger/Google talk same ERROR

Hello guys,
I am on SERO ( SPRINT DISCOUNTED PLAN) and a have a curve 8330m. I have installed yahoo messenger and when i go ahead login it gives me a error service not enabled for this handheld. i was wondering if anyone was able to get the yahoo messenger working on a blackberry with no problem.... I am also getting the same error for google talk ... i was wondering if anyone has the work around and can help. I have the service books from the anworm site and do also know that service books for the ymessenger should be installed for the phone....I would like to merge the service books together but dont know how to or dont mind downloading an old version of ymess which would work without the service books. I have seen threads for CINGULAR but not for sprint. If anyone can please help to get me started on my IM apps that would be great.
