DM 4.7 does not recognize ver4.5.0.124 so downgrade to dm 4.6, before erase 4.5.0.81 from you Pc and then download 4.5.0.124 and go to program files, common files, research in motion, shared file and delete vendor.xml in that way DM 4.6 will install the new OS. make sure to make a back up before upgrade.

I upgraded to 4.5 yesterday on my 8320. BIG ISSUE... all the data that I had backedup on the desktop is now "read only cannot be restored to BB" or message to that effect. I spent three hours with TMobile and RIM
on the phone. There appears to be an issue with the install, as nothing will restore to the BB. HELP...

i think you make something wrong when you made the back up, try this
go to C: , documents and setting, owner file, aplication data file, research in motion file, blackberry file, loader hisrtory file and then see you back up file, it should be your pin bb number, sample: 0x2078DE10.xml prev), then go to dm find your file and try to restore.

RESTORE PROCESS

1) Plug in device>Open Desktop Manager

2) Select Apploader>Add/Remove Applications

3) Select Add

4) Browse to Folder named your PIN #

5) Select the .alx file and Select Open>Select Next

You made something wrong, explain what kind of bb is the second and the previous version on it, perhaps the usb cable disconnect while upgrading, try different cable. make sure you got on your pc just v4.5.0.124
