Default My curve just started freezing every few seconds... DAMN HOURGLASS!

About 2 days ago, I noticed my cure 'freezing' temporarily about every second. The hourglass pops up and it freezes slightly, then returns. About every second. I tried removing the battery, and turning off all wireless connections. NOTHING! It has not stopped and I can barely move around my phone. What has happened to my poor blackberry!? Is it sick?

I upgraded to os 4.5 about a month ago and have had absolutely zero problems. It's a curve 8330 on Verizon.

Please help! thx.

it could be the OS causing the problems. i hate to say it, but you might need to downgrade. but then again it could be a "lemon" phone. how long have you had the phone?

This is usually due to low memory.

Log into your Verizon BIS account online and try resending the service books.

Humm - I don't think it's a memory issue since my filefree reads: 27240600 Bytes....

...resend service books?

Oof, yeah 27MB is a solid amount of memory. What version of 4.5 did you install? It could be a bad install, like greg said.

Have you ever logged into this site before? If you haven't, you may need to call Verizon and set it up, or try setting it up on the site itself. Once you get in, you can resend the service books to your phone.

Alternately, you can just call Verizon and ask them to resend them.

You have a Verizon Curve, right? Do you by any chance have your AOL mail going to it? If so, a few of us have been having problems for the past couple days. Finally this morning after doing the umpteenth battery pull, my phone is fine....there is some new AOL upgrade where it replaces the regular BlackBerry envelope mail icon with an AOL mail icon. Now it's working fine. But yeah, it did the freaking hourglass and I didn't receive mail for over 24 hours.

Seems like a lot of Verizon customers posting about this recently. I wonder if it's some network issue.

Yeah, that's odd. What version of 4.5 did you install?

I noticed that if I leave Viigo open in the background, the hourglass runs alot more than when its closed.

v4.5.0.56 (Platform 3.2.0.44)

YaBoiD, I have done a battery pull about 238 times in the past 2 days. I don't think it's a program because I see the hourglass the moment the phone restarts and before I have a chance to do anything.

I have had the phone since the day it was available on Verizon, so quite a few months now.

I have not installed any new software or themes in about a month either!
