In my case, I was able to play the videos in the BlackBerry Media Player. They would not play in XPlayer, though. I reported this as an issue through the XPlayer menu, and it was suggested that I re-encode the videos using BlackBerry Video Creator. I haven't gotten around to doing that yet, but if that's the only solution, it's not a good one for me. I really don't want to re-encode a bunch of videos that are already in a format playable by BB Media Player.

Have you tried setting some other audio path? Where is the sound coming from in other cases?

Unfortunately some videos have to be converted for playing with xPlayer. You can also try Mobiola Video Studio. It is a universal converter for all major formats.

Hi all,

When I was using xplayer beta on my 8310 I was able to stream internet radio with no problem. Now today I get a message that the beta period has ended. So I downloaded xplayer v1.0.1. Now when I open the menu, I don't see any option for internet radio. How do I get to this option on the new version?

Thanks in advance.

Default volume

For some reason I can't control the volume in xplayer when playing mp3's. I'll see the volume indicator go up and down by my volume will stay at the level its at. Also, I can't get it to play through the earphone jack! Fix?

EDIT: Nevermind, just had to power cycle my phone after the install (battery pull'd)

I downloaded the new full version of xplayer, the internet radio works as do mp3's but still nothing for video - same 0:00.

I'm also a verizon user...I guess that's still a problem?

Default No video either

No video on Bell Canada Curve 8330 (CDMA)
Same problem as others. Stays at 0:00 - won't even play videos from the camera or other videos that play on the OS media player.

Dear WinoOutWest,

Have you converted the video before playing it with xPlayer? You can use usual BlackBerry video converter or Mobiola Video Studio for BlackBerry.

I just downloaded/installed xPlayer v. 1.3.3 and can't play any videos (all of which play just fine in BB Media Player).
