This is almost always caused by a 3rd party application failing. eOffice was a good guess but it could be any app that you, or someone else, has installed. You will have to got through each of your apps (Options, Advanced Options, Applications) one at a time - don;t delete the RIM apps - and delete them one at a time and then reboot (Alt-RightShift-Del) after each one if this is not done automatically. It is a tedious process at best but it's really the only way.
If this procedure does not cure your problem then you will have to reinstall your phone's Operating System. So if after you have removed any self installed apps and the problem is still there, check your warranty to see if you can get an exchange before you embark on an OS upgrade.
