I've been trying to figure out if a blackberry 8330 "flashed with internet and MMS" will have most of the features as the one offered form Metro PCS; or do I need to spend the $450 with Metro...

if you got it flashed with internet and all then could you please post a tutorial on how to do it.
the info is great but what use if we cant get it too right?

i recently flashed a verizon bb 8330 to metro and everything works picture mess., txt, web. but the only problem is i dont get applications like pandora, facebook or get to read pdf files. any suggestions? I need to read pdf and jpeg files and im trying to figure out what i can do. as far being able to flash bb to metro yeah you can do it!! send me a message and ill hook you up with the guy who does it.

... nah , driznay is right .!. ... i have a bb 8330 that is/ was flashed to metro ... EVERYTHING WORKED , browser , pic txt , MMS , metro nav , pocket express , metro 411 , etc ... until i updated the software via my desktop like an ***** ... now i need to get it re-flashed ...

my question is , can i do it myself .?.

I have a Sprint Blackberry 8330 flashed over to Metro Pcs. Working Phone, SMS, MMS, Browser.

But like pmp_eaz I too also connected my bb to the desktop manager and lost web, mms. Headed back to Burbank CA. to get it fixed tomorrow. The guy said it's a 5min fix.

I know 3rd party apps that connect to the web do not work straight out the box like google maps, gmail, IM+, ect...But I've been reading aerize wifix can be used to work around this. If anyone can share some information on this I'd greatly appreciate it.

the same thing happened to me when i did the upgrade can anyone help me to get metro brower back on???

I have an 8330 verizon brand and had it flashed via the internet. this guy in california did everything and added the esn to the metro database. I am in california and web works, mms, text, calls. no blackberry BIS or appworld. I would have to pay the $60 Blackberry plan with metro for it to work. THat is what customer service told me.
My number is ported over and still have the other account active for a nother day. so I cannot revieve calls, text, sms, or anything like that. hopefully it will after i disconnect the service.

But I sent, mms and the other person does not get them, i tried via email and it worked. then i tried text that they got, I uploaded through DM the facebook from my storm and it did not work. as the guy told me it would not.

the prices was 75 bucks and that included the flash, adding of the esn and first months. not bad i say

Can you tell how did you flashed your bb8330 to metro pcs, where are you located, do you have instructions? or did you go to a plce where flashes phones?...I am in new jersey and metro its just one year old oround here and they just came up with the curve 8530...thanks for your answers
