Beginner's guide to Blackberry terminology?

So I've had my Curve for about a month now and I love it! But I still see terms and acronyms that I'm not familiar with or fully understand. Is there a Blackberry Beginner's Guide somewhere that explains things like what is BIS and why is it special, what's Blackberry Messenger (BBM) and what's the difference from the built-in "Messages"?, and other things that are totally different from basic cell phone features. I've kind of picked up a few things here and there, but don't understand what all the hubbub is over these programs and features. I feel I could be getting so much more out of my BB if I understood!
