Will this fix the speakerphone issue?

My provider is Sprint btw.
Nope, Speakerphone issue definitely not fixed in this official release. I have the Verizon Curve and if someone is talking when I answer the phone, the speakerphone briefly turns on.

Another problem...

My media player plays music at a very low (almost inaudible) volume after installing OS 4.5 (official release). I have the volume cranked to the max. It only occurs in the media player. If I select a ringtone from the "profiles" menu, they play at loudly. I don't get.

I can assure that everyone with verizon will have the speakerphone issue. Its just that sometimes when you answer, if the other line is quiet and no one is saying anything, you wont notice it. Have someone call you and keep humming or someting until you answer the phone. You will hear it on the speaker for a split second then it goes to the earpiece. Its not a big deal really. That wouldnt stop me from updated to a better OS!

I wonder if cellular south users are experiencing any of these bugs (speakerphone thing, media player).. this official release was for cellular south right?? I cant imagine the phone hardware being different but was just wondering... i was gonna chance it and install this release, but it seems buggy..

Go for it! . Positive thinking goes a long way. Just follow the OP's instructions and it will go smooth. I've been running this OS for about a week and I have no complaints.

My media player is good, too. I really like the equalizer option. I will do a test tomorrow to see if I have the speaker phone issue on AllTel. I haven't noticed it, but I tend to have selective hearing. Lol.

okay i finally broke down and upgraded my Curve 8330 from 4.3 to 4.5.

due to some posts i read, i removed my memory card prior to the upgrade. some things i noticed so far..
i put the memory card back in, and some videos i had on there that played fine, dont play now and error out, same goes for some mp3's.
i plan on digging them off my hard drive and replacing the current ones in case they got corrupted some how, after i put the mem card back in.

Google maps is working, so is Sprint TV, it gets a bit blocky and laggy at times.. but i dont know if it did that before, as i didnt really ever use it..

Docs to Go is installed, but havnt tried loading anything in them.
you tube (the one or two i watched, played right out of media plaer).

all in all, i used it all day, no major problems really, no speaker phone problem as mentioned above.

and by end of day tommorrow i'll have my Seideo 2600mah battery

anyone want me to try out a function i missed (i wont go installing every app i can find though, i'm talking basic functions) let me know.

cheers

*edit*
well i plugged in the curve, fired up roxio, and used it to reencode the video files.. they work fine now...
i'll have to do that with my mp3's, not a big deal really, as its pretty fast.
