Default Storing PIN in Active Directory

We have a desire to store each user off our BES PIN in Active Directory. I changed the PIM field mapping and performed a test. When you search for the user in AD, you can successfully send a PIN message to the user with the new mapping. My problem however is that if I save that user to my local address book, then the PIN is not saved with it.

Does someone know of a setting that determines what information is saved to the local address book of the device?

Thanks,

Stacy

If you go to contacts and open the user, click on All Fields. We put our users pin in Miscellaneous Fields.

On the default settings, the PIN is stored in the user 1 field of an Outlook contact. If I can't get the PIN from AD to a device, I will have go find and modify local contacts. I cant simply delete and readd as the user could have placed additional information in the contact. I would prefer not to go that route as I see many pitfalls along the way.

I think AD will only populate Global Address List and not contacts.
