Default LDAP won't connect: error=javax.naming.CommunicationException

I cannot for the life of me get this God#$% BES server to allow windows/active directory login.

here is error:

error=javax.naming.CommunicationException: Rideau.inc:389 [Root exception is java.net.ConnectException: connect: Address is invalid on local machine, or port is not valid on remote machine]

when i test my ldap settings in the config panel they work and verify ok.

If i use a 3rd party ldap browser i can browse the ldap without problems.

any ideas?

Are you trying to log on to BAS or web desktop manager?

Have you tried changing the LDAP port to 3268?

Just to explain my above comment it says in the install guide that if you have multiple domains in your active directory forest then you should use port 3268.

Hi Rh1noo,

just to clarify.

1 Domain only.

I havn't tried the alternate port yet as VERIFY was working on default port.

I will try the port you suggest and report back.

thanks again for your sugegstions and help.
