Question BES sync/reconcile times...

Morning / Afternoon all...

I'm on BES 4.0 (yes, I know, less of the jokes, please - LOL) and wanted to know what the average sync / reconcile time is/should be?

At present, a user receives an email in Outlook (Exchange 2003) and their BlackBerry (BOLD's, Curve's, etc), they read it, but, it will be anything from 14-20 minutes before it's marked as read on the BlackBerry...

I've done multiple searches on this, and seem to get various responses.

So, what say you?

Status changes are set to low priority by default. Once a status change is made, it starts a 20 minute ticker.. If anytime after that 20 minute ticker starts, they get another email, the ticker restarts.

The best way to update status changes is to do a manual send/receive in Outlook so that change is pushed to the mailbox, then do a Reconcile Now on the BB so the BB fetches the changes from the mailbox.

It's just the nature of the beast. =(

Yup.. and it's worse when Exchange is running in cached mode..

Gotta love users who shift-delete their emails right? That deletes the email out of Outlook, but not from their mailbox.. then they complain that their BB is still showing the emails..

wtf! Stop shift-deleting people!
