Default No "Company Directory" for composing emails, have BES

I have a new BB Storm. I hired our company's 'outside IT" person to place the "free version of BES for one user" on our company server. Obviously, none of the others at my company have a BB . This IT person has set everything up for me. He cost me per hour, and I cannot afford much more of his help, so I am doing most of the research now on crackberry to get questions answered.

Bit more background: We have email for the company, with a company directory, so that when I am at work, it allows me to quickly access employees and other owners' internal addresses. I also have an outside email from Comcast, which is set up on my BB with BIS.

Problem: with my old Samsung phone, when composing a new email, I had the option of either using my contact list (personal list that I maintain with email addresses, phone numbers, etc) or else I could click on "Company Directory" and it would let me search there for email addresses. With my new BB Storm, when composing a new email, I don't see an option like that. If I start typing an email address, it looks in my contacts folder for a match. Since I don't keep the list of all company people in my directory, this is inconvenient for me to send emails.

How can I access the Company Directory? What is the SIMPLEST way to set this up, or will I have to have the IT guy, who has access to our server, do so?

Thanks so much,

Smokey11

Do you have the "lookup" function in your address book?
If you compose an email and start to enter an address the contacts menu will pop up and in there is an option for lookup. Type a name and press enter and it will search your company directory and give you list of "hits'.

I will give it a try on my 9700. I'm new to blackberry and I was disappointed when I saw this feature was missing.
