I wear mine everyday during every workout and never had a problem. I've had mine since before I got my 8830 and they've worked like a champ. Just an fyi, they won't work with video. (There would be a delay). Also the only time they cut out on me is when I'm about 50 feet or so from the weight bench my phone is sitting at. I also know that there are some BB that didn't have A2DP support at time of launch (vzw 8830) and now that they've updated the software people are having issues. Look to see if the phone had A2DP when it launched. You might buy the headphones from someplace that will warranty them out like bestbuy or circuit city, just in case one of the issues other people complained about arises!

Anyone have an idea why the headset cuts out when you walk outside?

Default $49.00 online!!

I found the Moto S9 today online at tigerdirect. Had them special ordered to the local store so I could try them on with no worries about returning if I didn't like the fit. But I couldn't believe the price. "White box" items are new..but not labeled for retail sale..something like a corporate buy/return.

You guys have more Faith in Motorola headsets than I do. I have gone through at least 3 different Motorola Bluetooth headset and was totally dissatisfy with all of them. IMHO, Motorola headset doesn't do very well outside in the open. Just my $0.02 worth

I love my Moto S9 on my 8310, dominated my iphone to the point of shameful. Every problem I've had with lost connections or all the features not working have easily been fixed by taking the battery out for about 1 minute and making sure you device and you phone have a well charged battery. I found my S9 on eBay for $45 dollars in the box. Great deal great sound! YES $45!!!

I got mine from tigerdirect about a month ago. $45 in "white box". I love the thing, fit is great and full of features. I had a few problems with it dropping connection outside, but found that by turning the phone sideways on my belt, it resolved the issue. Not sure why that works, I think it may have something to do with the frequency of bluetooth and position of bluetooth antenna in my 8830. Not sure but it works for me.

I use my S9 every day, think I've had it for about a year. I use it with my phone, but also have a D650 and use it with my iPod in the gym.

I've never had a problem with it working, the sound quality is great, and the best thing for a gym workout.

The only thing I wanted to mention is to be careful where you get your S9 from. My Dad bought one a few months back from ebay, and they worked horribly. He then went and picked up the set from Sams Club (great deal) like me, and that set worked perfect. Gotta be careful, you want to make sure you are getting genuine equipment

My s9 and Pearl 8130:

Worked great for one week, then stopped streaming music. Took battery out of Pearl to reset. Now s9 works great again. Don't know how long it will last or if this trick will work again.

So the sweat really does get to the s9's? Cuz I was thinking of getting one for occasional running, biking, or working outside, but I don't want to get one and break it! I thought they were supposed to be sweat resistant?

I've had my s9's for several months now. Probably close to a year. The audio quality for music is superb. Plenty of volume, great clarity and decent bass. For conversations its horrible. I hear ok, but my callers can instantly tell when I'm in the gym. I'll answer with hello and the first thing most say is "Call me when you get out of the gym". I only use BT for music because I am not a fan of BT headsets for talking.

As far as static goes when I step outside, its usually horrible. I'm not sure if it has to do with temperature, wind, etc. I notice that if I put my phone next next to my head the static goes away but obviously i'm not going to run with my arm behind my head. I don't ever run outside in the Texas heat so its not a problem for me. I only notice it when I'm walking out of the gym to my truck and I'm still listening to music.

I just got mine from eBay ($35+S/H), but I'm very dissapointed with the quality of the audio on the left side. I have a Verizon 8130 (which I love, BTW) and I'm trying to figure out if the problem is with the headset or my BB. Has anyone else had this problem?

Get an external (non-earbud) headphone. For example, I use the 590A while skiing, playing music through a cap. The latter guarantees it doesn't get any sweat. As the 590A can be very loud, the attenuation caused of the cap isn't an issue.
