Is there supposed to be an updated BBm with avatars and a ping where you can locate where your friends are? If so when?

You sure have a lot of facts for asking if it exists. Your answer is yes it does exist but it will only be one 5.0 devices. As to when that remains to be seen but it will be when 5.0 is released.

its true... it exists.. its nice.. I dont have it but several trusted people have it and an extremely trusted friend hipped it to us months ago..

isn't there supposed to be a BBM PC application in the works as well? I heard that they had been working on a PC client version of BBM but I hadn't heard anything else about it...
