Smile RIM working on a program for Mac users.

Hi all. Spoke to a T-mobile BB rep yesterday and he told me that the BB rep was just in there and let them know that RIM is working on a new Desktop Manager for Mac. Finally!! Also, he doesn't know when it will be ready, but RIM feels that more people are going toward the Mac and so they feel it's worth it to come up with a DM for the Mac. Let's hope it's for real!!

Thank goodness!!! I'm still using Panther, so I'm okay at the moment, but the moment I get a new computer with the new OS and the new 2008 Office, I'd be in trouble!

Why isn't the Office 2008 going to be compatible?

Currently, if you have Office 2008 (from all the threads I've read), PocketMac isn't currently compatible and buggy at best. If they come out with a new Desktop Manager for Mac, then Office 2008 WILL be compatible as it's the newest s/w.

The best part is we'll be able to upgrade OS's for the BB without having to take it to a PC!!

Oh that would be fantastic! I'm not that thrilled about knowing I'll have to use VMWare to install stuff when I get my 8320 on Thursday.

This is great news. I love my Mac and I love my BB. Now I get to put my two loves together. It feels like the first time I had peanut butter and jelly.

What are you all talking about? They ALREADY have software for Apple's Mac OS X!

I saw it the other day on the American site, whilst wasting time and browsing around... It should be available on the international downloads site also.

I didn't have a look, but the link is here:

BlackBerry - BlackBerry for Mac

It appears to do pretty much everything...
