I just installed that one on my 8310. First I thought the firmware would be defect, because the first reboot after installing took 10-15 minutes!
The complete upgrade process with preference & app saving, nuking, firmware installing and restoring took about an hour.
The second and all subsequent reboots now tak about 2 minutes.

Therefore you have to be very, very patient when installing this firmware upgrade...

has anyone been able to install this on their 8110 yet? I am on Vodafone with 4.3 desktop software. I have installed the 4.5 handset software and it shows when going into help>about desktop manager but when I have connected my device and ran the application loader it doesn't show as being available to install?

I just install the 4.5 on my 8800.

So far:

1. Still Blackberry Browser is not displayed -- I have already resend the service books, do a battery remove etc.
2. Still Blackberry Maps is not displayed.
3. JiveTalk is not logging in.
4. Google Maps makes my berry to halt -- just did another one battery pull.

Edit:

It seems that some battery pulls were needed.

Now everything is working fine

I installed last night on my AT&T 8310 and everything seems to be working fine so far. All the apps I use, google maps, google sync, Yahoo messenger, google talk, TeleNav, etc. are all working.

Just curious, am I supposed to have HTML email with this upgrade and being on BIS?
