Arrow New App : AppLock : Password protect Messages and Files

UPDATE: Guys, beta is over! Both apps, TaskManager & AppLock are now available for trial and purchase at www.getempower.com and at CrackBerry Store.

Dear All,
While the public beta for Empower SMS Viewer goes on we are almost ready with our next project - AppLock - an app that enables you to password protect specific applications on your BlackBerry without locking the entire device itself.

For ex, with AppLock you can prevent accidental or unauthorized reading of private Emails, SMS or say viewing of files, pictures, videos etc while leaving the device available for other use like Phone or Internet Browsing. (or whichever way you choose).

In case you are interested in beta-running a pre-release app then just drop a note below. I think we will start with a small group (maybe the first 20 to reply) for pvt. beta.

Thanks,
Ani.

I think it's a great idea, but is it as secure as the password on the BB? Like can it require passwords for installing apps? Is there a wrong password limit and what happens when exceded? Are failed attempts still counted after a battery pull? How hard would it be for someone to remove it with DM if I ever lost the phone?

I'd like to test it. I'm on a Bold currently running 4.6.0.266 but jump up to 5.0 betas from time to time. I'm a pretty thorough tester for apps I use frequently.
