I'm torn between this and Tiny Twitter. The current version of Social Scope is just kinda meh (for me, anyway).
As far as UberTwitter goes, I like the location-aware aspect for nearby tweeps and the trending topics, but this app is asking for an awful lot of permissions. I don't really feel like going through and figuring out which ones it actually NEEDS to work correctly, and it would be nice if the app came pre-configured for permissions (unless I'm missing something and it really does need every single permission set to "Allow"). It certainly is fast though. I don't use Google Talk but that might be an interesting thing to look into. As far as the whole "adding my location to every tweet" thing....I dunno. Seems like it would eat up my 140 characters pretty quick but I guess it's nice if used strategically.
I'd say it's a toss-up between UberTwitter and Tiny Twitter. I'll be interested to see what Social Scope's next update looks like. And it's nice that there's finally a 4-horse race happening with twitter apps that aren't for the iPhone.
